Wondering what to do with the pile of magazines at home? In this workshop, you will learn to create fun animal designs on a sketchbook using only repurposed magazines and paper bags. Shelley Hanmo Qian is a paper artist and illustrator who specializes in creating whimsical and colorful collages. She will be sharing some of her favorite animal designs with you, and how to cut desired shapes and put them together.

Suggested Materials:

-Magazine paper/paper bags found at home (various solid colors with matte finish), OR construction paper if magazines are not available.

-Rubber Cement or wrinkle-free glue stick

-Double-sided tape

-A pair of scissors for cutting paper

-Optional: coloring pencils
