28 Day Challenge Roundup (Days 1-7)

Thank you so much to the thousands of people who have already signed up and began sharing their awesome pieces for our 28 Day Challenge! It’s not too late to join and get a prompt in your inbox each day.

Whether you’re home alone, with friends or family, where you live now, or the hometown you grew up in, all of us are looking for ways to cope with the tough times ahead through art-making. We want to offer an outlet for creative expression and keep you motivated whether you work in a studio, at your desk, or decide to set up shop in your living room where others can join in.

While there are still 3 more weeks to go, we couldn’t help sharing a few of the (many!) awesome pieces that have been created so far.

If you would like to see more, check out #bal_draw and make sure to tag your own piece each time you finish the day’s challenge.

Day 1

Things Under My Bed
From dust bunnies and missing socks to a portal to a secret world, our artists had lots of fun imagining what hides under their mattresses when they sleep at night.

Day 2

Draw One of Your House Plants
Whether they’re newbies or a veteran plant parents, everyone was ready to show off their botanical buddies.

Day 3

Spend 1 Full Hour Drawing a Self-Portrait
Our artists took the time to see themselves from new perspectives.

Day 4
Draw Out Your Favorite Song
Tunes that have gotten our artists out of tough times (and into their dancing shoes!)

Day 5
Illustrate Something From Your Favorite Book
Our artists brought their favorite page-turners to sketchbook pages.

Day 6
Spend 1 Hour Drawing Your Pet (or Dream Pet)
The animal companions keeping our artists company in their homes (or inside their imaginations) got their time to shine.

Day 7
Things Found 'By Accident'
Sometimes the unexpected is exactly what’s needed to fuel creativity.
