In this workshop, mixed media artist Brianne Burnell will show you some of her favorite techniques for creating unique and unexpected marks in your artwork. You will transform some simple household items into exciting art tools, and open your mind to the possibility that everything around you can be used for mark making. This is the perfect workshop for abstract artists who are tired of using the same old paintbrushes, and are looking to add some exciting texture to their work."
Suggested Materials:
Cardboard scraps (corrugated)
Some sticks from outside (sturdy, 5-10 inches)
15 q-tips
Many sheets of your preferred paper (watercolour, mixed media, newsprint)
Masking tape
Scissors
Acrylic paint
Water
A couple of paintbrushes
A rubber roller
A rubber band
