The Canvas Project is a community art project created by Brooklyn Art Library. Participants of all ages and from all over the globe were sent a 4x4 inch blank canvas and prompt word to inspire their creation. We asked our global community of artists to submit words, scoured the internet for interesting words, and racked our brains to create a collection of prompts. All of the returned canvases are featured here to create ‘A Visual Encyclopedia’, a global visual interpretation of words.
