Your work is custom swapped with another global participant. You will get the contact info for that person and they will get yours.

After you’ve completed your canvas, return it to Brooklyn Art Library using the included pre-paid shipping label and oh-so-patiently wait 1-2 weeks to receive a swapped canvas from your perfect art companion!
Each member of your party will receive a swapped canvas meant especially for them. But wait, it gets better: the person who’s canvas you’ve received also gets your canvas! Using the contact information you’ve each provided, reach out, connect, and make a new art friend who’s also part of our global community. Introduce them to the members of your Canvas Party and meet their Canvas Partiers…make art and make friends through art!
Each party kit comes with an equal number of randomly selected themes. How you divide them up is up to your group. We highly recommend an extremely competitive game of ‘Duck Duck Goose.’
For domestic orders: We provide shipping two or three ways, depending on your order. If you order a Party of 4 or more, shipping is free! We will provide you will one pre-paid return label for you to return your canvases back to us to be swapped. For a Party of 1, we provide shipping two ways (shipping the order to you and the swapped canvases to you!). You are responsible for the cost of returning your canvas to us for the swap.
For international orders: Shipping two ways (shipping the order to you and the swapped canvases to you!) is included for $30. You are responsible for the cost of returning your canvas to us for the swap.
Anyone and everyone! The work is not juried and everything will be accepted. Grab some friends and throw your own Canvas Party to get creating!
Each Canvas Party order receives one unique theme for each member of their party. Every theme is different and was contributed to the project by a member of our community! Pick a theme and use it as inspiration for your canvas. Share your artwork on social media with your theme’s unique hashtag and connect with other Canvas Partiers who have the same theme as you!
Make sure to connect your canvas first! We promise we'll let you know when we have received your completed canvases at Brooklyn Art Library when we are able. Please don't email us asking if we received your canvases - we receive a veritable ton of canvases in the mail every day, and checking them in by hand can be a very long process!
You can connect your canvas anytime between when you receive it and before you send it back.
After we receive you completed canvases, a member of our team will work to find your perfect art companion! You will receive someone else’s canvas, and they will receive yours. A match made in (art) heaven!
For domestic orders for Parties of 4 or more, we provide one pre-paid shipping label for you to ship all of the canvases back together. Want to ship them separately? No problem, please just keep in mind that we can only provide one pre-paid shipping label.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for your new swapped canvas to arrive. We will ship everyone in your party their new canvases in one box.
